Porsche Co. Considers Collaboration with Sister Co. Bentley Motors
The Porsche luxury vehicle company is currently assessing different methods to be able to increase the financial efficiency of the company. The company is currently looking at establishing some connection with their sister company as a part of the Volkswagen Group, the Bentley Motors Co. according to reports by autocar.
Matthias Muller, the CEO of the Porsche Co. said to the source from autocar, that what their company wants in conjunction with the Bentley Motors Co. is to have common performance when it comes to purchasing as well as a common form of architecture among others. This was just an offer made to Bentley. He also said that everyone is very ken to reduce costs as well as to get synergies and to lastly have better revenue at the end of it all.

The Porsche Co. is a luxury automaker whose limousines are the most preferred when it comes to the luxury limousine industry. They are also looking forward to making a full use of their Panamera’s platform as well as are considering releasing more models which are based on it.
Matthias Muller also further added that, having just a four door limo is quite a boring option for the company’s future. He said that one can visualize a coupe which has two doors, as well as a longer version possibly a van or a combi, or other. There are many ideas that when it comes to Porsche Co.’s Panamera series of models, however it is not possible to try all these different derivatives together. They also need to take a look at their customers’ needs, and whether they are willing to accept derivatives of the Panamera model.
There is still however an intention which could possibly generate conflict between these two luxury vehicle brands, as the future derivatives of the Panamera would cannibalize the market of the Bentley Continental GT. This would mean that even if the Porsche Co. does not develop a good connection with the Bentley Motors British car manufacturer, the German Porsche Co. would still require making an intelligent move so as to be able to protect the future ranges of these two brands from this type of negative effect.
Thanks for this great post and I will try to get more here.
